Obituary of Lois A. Dixey

Dixey, Lois A. nee MacKenzie of Mantua, NJ, formerly & longtime resident of Westville on March 18, 2006. Aged 69 years. Prior to retirement, Lois worked for the State of NJ, Youth and Family Services of Gloucester County as an assistant to the social workers for 25 years. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Community Association and was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Mantua. During her free time, Lois enjoyed baking, traveling, scrap-booking, and going to the Casinos. She also liked reading, word search puzzles, knitting & Nascar. A bargain hunter and coupon shopper, she had a sense of humor that was very understated. Lois was a woman of few words but had a heart of gold that touched everyone that met her. Devoted mother of Mark and Karen Dixey, beloved sister of Judith Bailey, loving grandmother of Erica Leigh Daubert. Dear niece of Edna Sholders. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Lifetime Tribute Service will be held 1PM Friday in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 12PM. Interment will be private.
