Obituary of Lawrence D. Harbison

Harbison, Lawrence D., 90, of Paulsboro died Saturday in Chattanooga, TN. Beloved husband of the late Frances nee Stetser and father of Richard Harbison & his wife, Louise of Gibbstown and Barbara Jansen & her husband, Richard of Red Bank, TN. Grandfather of 7. Great-grandfather of 3. If someone needed help and didn?t know where to turn, Larry was the one who helped. He volunteered over 10, 000 hours at the Contact Center in Glassboro. He did whatever needed to be done at the Christ Presbyterian Church of Gibbstown and also delivered dinners in the Meals on Wheels program. Larry was a graduate of Pitman High School . Before his wife, Frances died, it was hard to see Larry without Frances at his side ? they were inseparable. He worked as a Chemical Operator for E. I. DuPont Co. in Deepwater for 43 years. He enjoyed stock car racing, traveling and yard work. Also, Larry attended the Guardian Day Care Center, which he enjoyed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury. A viewing will begin at 11:30 AM in the funeral home.
