Obituary of Charles Crowe

Charles Crowe, formerly of Woodbury, died suddenly at his home in Orlando, Florida on April 20, 2006. He was 84 years old. Charles graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1940 and was a 1944 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point. He served in the Merchant Marien until 1949 and attained the level of Chief Engineer. Charles then worked for Texaco as a Marine Engineer for 31 years until his retirement in 1980. He has been a resident of Orlando, Florida for the past ten years. Charles was married to Betty Owen of Paulsboro for 32 years until her death in 1981. He was the beloved father of Susan Burns of Oviedo, Florida, Dick Crowe of Sykesville, Maryland, Sally Reaves of Oviedo, Florida, and Carol Crowe of East Hampton, Connecticut. Charles was devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who cherished their time with their Pop-Pop.
