TEGGE, Marianna B. Nee Beckley ?Tia? of West Deptford on April 20, 2006. Aged 81 years. Born in Salem, Marianna graduated from Woodbury High School . Marianna graduated from Glassboro State College in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education. She began her teaching career at the Woodbury Friends School. Before retiring, Marianna taught Art at Pitman Middle School for 24 years. She kept in touch with many colleagues and former students until her passing. Marianna was the Past President of the Art Educators of New Jersey NJAEA. She was a member of the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, where she was a chairperson for the Wings ?n Water Festival. Marianna was a creative and talented artist, who enjoyed acrylic painting and collecting art. She was an accomplished poet who had self published a book of her poetry and photographs. Her family has many fond memories of gatherings at the family cottage in Stone Harbor, spanning six generations since 1926. Marianna was also an avid gardener, storyteller, and bird watcher. Her family will always treasure her as their ?armchair traveler?, who traveled the world through her avid reading of National Geographic and Smithsonian magazine, as well as atlas? and travel books. She was a strong, independent and creative woman who enjoyed her many social activities. Marianna will be remembered as a free spirit, who lived life to the fullest and always saw the world through ?Rose colored glasses?. She will be deeply missed by her family and her large circle of friends. Devoted mother of Barbara Jean Tegge of Silver City, NM, and Carol Ron Hemrick of West Deptford. Loving grandmother of Jonathan M. Kimberly Shinkle, Bonnie M. Joseph Clark and Brian M. Janine Shinkle and great grandmother of 5. Dear sister of Reba B. John Capone of West Deptford and the late Daniel W. Beckley, Jr. Beloved daughter of the late Daniel W. and Reba K. Beckley. Visitation MON. May 1st from 10 to 11 A.M. in the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury, South Broad and West Centre Sts., Woodbury. Memorial Service MON. May 1st at 11 A.M. in the church. Interment private.
