Ouellette, Leonard J., former Gloucester Co. Sheriff?s Officer, of Elk Twp., died on May 10, 2006. Father of Joel and Andre Ouellette. Son of Veronique Ouellette and the late Onesime Ouellette. Brother of Donna Bouchard, Marie Linda Bohara and George Ouellette. Lenny Ouellette was an adventurous man. He served in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War where he was a ?tunnel rat?. After the war, he became a Woodbury Hts. Police Officer and then in 1983, he joined the Gloucester Co. Sheriff?s Department. He was the Bomb Detection Unit and also staffed the Front Security Desk at the new courthouse. Lenny was actively involved the Explorers program and in the Boy Scouts helping Troop 17 and Pack 132 of Gibbstown. He lent his talents to assisting Ranch Hope for troubled youths. In his spare time, He enjoyed his Harley motorcycles. We?ll remember his heart of gold. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Monday from 9-10 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday in the Funeral Home.
