Obituary of Genevieve H. Cook

COOK, Genevieve H. Nee McCaney, age 86, of Millville, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, on June 2, 2006. Born in Philadelphia, Genevieve was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, Pierce Business School and the Academy of Advanced Traffic. For 15 years, she worked for Renuzit Home Products in Philadelphia, PA. Before retiring, Genevieve was a traffic manager for John Jeffrey Corp. of Gloucester City, NJ for 20 years. She was the past president of the Woman?s Traffic Club of Philadelphia and a member of the Woman?s Traffic Club of America. Genevieve was also active in the Commercial Township. She was a member and secretary of the Laurel Lake Properties Association and a member of the Laurel Lake Civic Association. Genevieve was also a volunteer with the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program RSVP of Port Norris, NJ. Genevieve was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Millville, where she was active in many parish activities. In her spare time, Genevieve enjoyed playing slots at the casinos and was an avid reader, especially Romance novels. She will be remembered for her fiesty, strong willed spirit. Beloved wife of the late Herbert. Devoted mother of Margaret Warren Daley-Swaverly of Deptford, NJ, Donald Anna Piccerillo Cook of Westbrook Park, PA, and Robert Cook of Hamilton Square, NJ. Loving grandmother of Judith Daley Joe Murray, Colleen Steven DeMaria, Christopher Daley, Erin Cook, Matt Cook, Italo Piccerillo and Catherine Nardone. Dear sister of Michael Jane McCaney of Lady Lake, FL, Frances Hutchinson of Doylestown, PA, and Donald Eleanor McCaney of Brookhaven, PA.
