Obituary of Robert J. Gray

GRAY, Robert ?Bob? J., of Thorofare, passed away on June 18, 2006. Age 85 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bob was raised in Westville, NJ. He was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran serving from 1942?1945 as a waist gunner and night flier. Bob was MIS Director for CBS Records for over 20 years and prior to that worked at the New York Shipyard for 27 years. In his spare time, Bob loved to do crossword puzzles which he said kept his mind active, but his true passion was golf. He golfed with celebrities such as Willie Mayes, Brooks Robinson, Joe DiMaggio. Bob was a people lover and had a true presence about him; his ways of telling a story that always caught the listeners attention. He was charismatic gentleman who had a wonderful personality. Beloved Husband of Julia C. nee Hauschild and the late Mary T. Gray nee McHenry. Devoted Father of Maureen. and her husband, Edward Jawor, Sharon and her husband, John Briggs, John Gray and his wife, Nancy, and Robert Gray, Jr. Loving Grandfather of Dawn, Brian, Kristen Janine, Maureen and 6 great grandchildren. Dear Brother of Betty Fisher, Barbara Heubel and the late, Thomas, Wesley and Howard. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, 11:00 AM ? 1:00 PM at the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, where there will be a service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
