Obituary of Lillian M. Dettmar

DETTMAR, Lillian M. of Sewell on June 28, 2006. Aged 80 years. Born in West Belmar, NJ, she graduated from Manasquan High School in 1944 and attended Trenton State Teacher?s College where she earned her B.S. degree in Business Education and met her future husband of 51 years, the late Charles J. Dettmar, Sr. of Scotch Plains, NJ. Having been a business education teacher for over 25 years, Mrs. Dettmar retired from Rahway High School in 1986. She was a prominent and respected member of the Township of Scotch Plains, serving the community in many capacities over the years as Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout chairperson, recreation softball coach, SP-F PTA Council President, Vice President of the SPF Board of Education, where she was a member for 18 years, and business education teacher at SPFHS. She leaves behind a daughter Lynn Robbins of Sewell, NJ, a son Charles, Jr. of Bernardsville, NJ and 4 grand children.
