Obituary of George Victor Lorang

LORANG, George Victor, 79, a longtime resident of West Deptford, passed away on July 29, 2006. George was born on August 28, 1926 in Woodbury to the late George and Gertrude Lorang. He was a graduate of Woodbury High School Class of 1944. George was a World War II veteran, who served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Roxane. He retired from Mobil and worked part-time for West Deptford Recreational Services. George was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Greenfields Fire Co. and he was an active parishioner of St. Margaret?s RC Church. In his spare time, George enjoyed gardening, reading, swimming at Greenfields Swim Club, vacationing at the beach, and canoeing . He loved watching the History Channel and sharing his history knowledge and war stories with his family. George treasured spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a talented handyman, who was always willing to help others. Beloved husband of the late Mae C. Lorang Nee Conrad. Devoted father of Stephen and Donald Lorang of West Deptford, Diane Edward Lorang-Smith of West Deptford, and Doreen Rich Tutko of Mickleton. Loving grandfather of Kim, Amy, Melissa, Karyn, Shawn, Katrina, Trent and Dylan and great grandfather of Jacob, Courtney, Justin, Laycee and Jordan. Dear brother of the late Virginia Andrews.
