NEILIO?Joseph R. of National Park -former mayor & councilman there?on Oct. 9, 2006. Aged 81 years. Born and raised in Westville, Joe was a proud US Navy Armed Guard Veteran of WWII where he served as a gunners mate. He was former mayor and served on council in National Park for 16 years. Prior to retirement in 1976, he worked as chief chemical operator with Hercules Chemical Corp., Gibbstown, NJ for 21 years. He was also the owner and operator of J&J Fuel for over 25 years. Joe was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of National Park, where he served 20 years as a lay leader. He was also a licensed lay speaker for over 25 years and was honored to speak at many area churches. He was a member of the VFW Post #6884, National Park. Joe is the beloved husband of 61 years to Myrtle E. nee Lightcap, devoted father of Lois Anne Yearicks Cooper and Ethel Jo Broomall Peter, dear brother of Rita Angeroth, Nicholas and Herbert Neilio loving grandfather of Carol Kizitaff Gerry, Cooper Yearicks, Jr., Joe Yearicks Maria, Chris Yearicks and Peter Broomall, Jr. Kylee and great grandfather of Joshua, Ryan, Alyssa, Tyler Kizitaff, Mason & Kaden Broomall, Cooper Yearicks, III & Braydon Yearicks. Viewing Thurs. 6:30-9 PM and Fri. 9-9:45 AM in The First United Methodist of National Park, 414 Asbury Ave., National Park, NJ 08063, where his funeral services will be held Fri. 10 AM. Interment, with military honors, in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church?s general fund at the above address.
