Obituary of William J. Sims

SIMS, William J., Jr. of Oak Valley, NJ on October 9, 2006. Aged 80 years. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, Bill was a resident of Oak Valley for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Before retiring in 1991, Bill was a Diesel Mechanic for Johnson & Towers in Mt. Laurel for 20 years. He was a life member of VFW Post #7679 in Mantua, NJ, as well as a member of the St. Margaret?s Men?s Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and watching T.V. Bill will be remembered for his strong patriotic and Irish spirit. Beloved husband for 56 years of Lois Ann Nee Ney. Devoted father of Susan Heywood Woody, Brian Sims Robert Gilbert, William B. Sims the late Colleen and Robert Sims Wendy. Loving grandfather of Kimberly Heywood, Monica Sims, William B. Sims, Jr. and David and Zachary Sims and great grandfather of Joseph Cabana and Madison Courtney. Dear brother of the late Arlene Walsh and Sarah Egan and brother-in-law of Catherine Ney and Nancy Ney. Special uncle to many nieces & nephews.
