Obituary of James G. Clancy

Clancy, James G. of National Park, on October 31, 2006. Aged 73 years. Born in Philadelphia, Jim later moved to National Park where he remained with his family for the past 49 years. He served in the United States Marines and the Marine Reserves from 1951 to 1962 where he was recognized and presented with trophies for being a sharp shooter. Jim continued his duty of service to the Community of National Park first as a member of the Police force, then he became the Superintendent of the Water & Sewer Department for more than 25 years, during which time he was elected to town council where he served for 2 terms during the 1970?s. He worked as a Civil Engineer for Remington & Viernick for more than 30 years before joining the family business Clancy Associates where he remained for the last 5 years of his career before retiring in 1998. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed spending time with his wife of 50 years and their family, especially his four grandchildren, traveling, bowling, volunteering with the design and development of the municipal baseball fields, and the companionship of his dog Max. Beloved husband of Antoinette ?Toni? nee Sarnese Devoted father of Joanne Stan Parylak and Jim Helene Clancy. Dear brother of Florence Salotto, Virgina ?Gina? Clancy and Thomas ?Tommy? Clancy.
