Obituary of Fred Davis Snyder

SNYDER, Fred Davis, III, of West Deptford on November 3, 2006. Aged 53 years. Born in Philadelphia on May 23, 1953 to Claire Nee Smith Dawson and Fred Davis Snyder, Jr. Fred had resided in West Deptford since 1994. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and from University of Maryland, Environmental Research Laboratory, with a Masters Degree. On October 2, 1976, Fred was married to Vicki Suzanne White and they welcomed their daughter, Chelsea Aleena Snyder, on March 30, 1989. Fred had an accomplished career as a Wildlife Biologist. From 1982 to 2002, Fred worked for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Fish, Game & Wildlife. He held various positions including Deer Project Manager, Upland Game Project Manager, Coordinator for Boating Access and American with Disabilities. He ended his career as a Federal Aide Coordinator. He was on the New Jersey Advisory Committee for the Clean Vessel Act. From 1997 to 1999, Fred was the Representative to the United States Fish & Wildlife Chiefs Association Region Five. He was on the Federal Aide Committee for The International Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies Working Subcommittee.He was also an Official Measurer for Boone Crockett, Pope & Young, Long Hunters Society and Safari Clubs International. In his spare time, Fred was an accomplished naturalist and avid freshwater trout, saltwater and surf fisherman. He was also a voracious reader, a movie buff and a History and Discovery Channel fan. Beloved husband for 30 years of Vicki Nee White. Devoted father of Chelsea. Loving son of Claire the late Donald C. Dawson and son-in-law of June the late John L. White. Dear brother of Nancy Randy Whiten and Amy Kevin Hickey and brother-in-law of GaryWhite, Valerie Russ Riggins, Tracy Dennis Domico, and Gail Joseph Kowalczyk. Special uncle of Claire, Joanna, Susie, Josh, Nick, Lia, Victoria, Melissa, Meredith, John, and Molly and great uncle of Mikey, Derek, Tiffany, Greg and Morgan. Best friend of John Lyons and his children, John, Laura, and Jen, whom Fred considered his adopted children. Visitation TUES. 10 to 11:30 A.M. in the RiverWinds Community Center, 1000 RiverWinds Dr., Thorofare, NJ 08086, where Fred?s Lifetime Tribute Service will follow at 11:30 A.M.
