Obituary of Michael Lawrence Reader

Reader, Michael Lawrence, father, son, brother, friend, educator, an all around awesome guy, suddenly on November 17, 2006. Aged 42 years. Beloved son of Barbara nee Gardiner & Lawrence Reader. Loving & devoted father of Ashley, Madison and Michael. Dear brother of Karen Chris Powers of Marietta, GA & Daniel Reader of Mullica Hill. Devoted uncle of Ayden Michael Powers. Fiancée of Fran Ingram. Born in Trenton and raised in Burlington until the age of 3, Mike later moved to Washington Twp., where he has lived for the past 39 years. He graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1982 and later from Gloucester County College and Rowan University. Mike was currently enrolled in the Masters Degree Program at Wilmington College. He taught classes in Technology Curriculum at Bunker Hill Middle School for the past four years and was nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2005. He previously worked at Salem County Vocational School. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed rooting for the Eagles and Flyers, being involved with Men of Malvern, playing golf , going to amusement parks and playing wiffle ball but most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with Fran and his children. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Viewing Tuesday 3 to 5 PM and 6:30 to 8:15 PM with a Lifetime Tribute Time of Remembrance at 8:30 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp. , and Wednesday morning 9 to 10:45 in Holy Name of Jesus R. C. Church, Earlington Street, Mullica Hill. Funeral Mass Wednesday 11 AM in the Church. Interment Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery, Mullica Hill.
