Obituary of Carmen L. Rodriguez

RODRIGUEZ?Carmen L. age 83, passed away at home on November 22, 2006 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer?s disease. She was affectionately called Letty by her family and friends. Carmen was born December 5, 1922 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to the late Gonzalo Matias, Sr., and Carmen Garcia. On August 23, 1947, she was united in marriage to Carlos M. Rodriguez, Sr. in New York, New York. Carmen was a child care provider for the State of New York for twenty years. Carmen is survived by her husband, Carlos; her son and his wife, Carlos, Jr. and Miriam; her daughter, Ana Rivera, and her son and his fiancé, Luis and Lyera; her son-in-law Milton Corsey; four grandchildren, Carlos, III and his wife Diane, AnaLisa and her husband DeTron Patron, Michele Rodriguez and Natasha Thomas; one great-grandson, Iann Thomas; one sister Ana Valentin. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Gonzalo, Jr. and one sister Carmen H. Perez. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend her viewing 10-11:45 AM and her memorial services at 12 noon on Tuesday in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Twp. Sewell. Interment will be at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
