Obituary of Robert R. Meyer

MEYERS?Robert R., Sr. of Woodbury on Nov. 26, 2006. Aged 80 years. Robert was a proud US Navy Veteran of WWII and enjoyed reunions with his shipmates on the USS Oklahoma City, the ship on which he served. Prior to retirement in 1988, Robert worked as a bus driver for Greyhound for 29 years. Following retirement, he enjoyed working part time as a bus driver for Gloucester Catholic for their sporting events. Robert will be remembered as a friendly and outgoing man who enjoyed boating around the areas of LBI and Barnegat Bay, where he made friends easily and enjoyed helping others to fix and maintain their crafts. He was a member of the American Legion Post #133, Woodbury. He is the beloved husband of the late Helen L., loving father of Irene M., Robert R., Jr. & his wife Gail and Thomas L. Meyers, devoted friend of Dee Fisher, dear grandfather of Andrew, Risley, Hannah and Mickey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing 11:30 AM and funeral services 12:30 PM on Thurs. at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Interment Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
