John Cruiser Baxter, Sr. of Verga, NJ on December 5, 2006. Aged 58 years. Cruiser was a salesman for Grant Supply in Pleasantville, NJ formerly Taylor Supply for 24 years. He enjoyed listening to music, collecting Santa Clauses, postcards & different small antiques. Cruiser loved working on his pond , taking the kids out back to feed the fish and just playing with his grandchildren and all the other kids at family functions. Well liked by all who met him and you knew if he was your friend, it was a true friendship. He was strong in his faith and knew when the Lord called him home, he was going to a better place. Beloved husband of Florence nee Cooper of 37 years. Devoted father of John Cruiser, Jr. Christina, Thomas Erin and Jeffrey. Dear brother of Karen Michael White, Deadria James Sheppard, April RickyMulkey, Dorris Steven Burr, Mark Marlene and the late Charles. Brother in-law of Sandra Michael Tash, Joseph Virginia Hubbard, Robert Margaret Calloway, Jay Christine Cooper and Mark Barbara Cooper. Loving grandfather of John Cruiser III, Noah Thomas, Shelby Morgan, James Winslow and Emma Elizabeth. Son in-law of Margaret Cooper. Pre-deceased by his parents John P. & Dorris nee Adkins Baxter. Also survived by Howard & Barbara Schoch, Pamela & Steven Kotter, Patricia & Robert Mellohusky and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral Service Monday 11 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. Where relatives and friends may call after 9 AM.
