Obituary of Eugene Preston

Preston, Eugene ?Gene? of Thorofare, NJ, died on January 9, 2007. Aged 73 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Gene was a resident of Thorofare for 28 years. In the early 1950?s, Gene served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. For the past 20 years, Gene has been a courier for aurelwood/Healthnetwork in Blackwood, NJ. Gene was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed going to Brian?s, his grandson, football games. In his earlier years he enjoyed golf and horseracing. Gene was a very outgoing, sociable man who always told you how it is. He will be remembered for his loving and teasing ways and will be sadly missed. Gene is survived by his Beloved Wife of 45 years, Shirley nee Givin; Loving son, Eugene Preston and his wife, Joyce and their children, Eugene and Sarah; loving daughters, Sandra Branner and her children, Ryan and Megan and Denise and her husband, Brian Startzel and their son, Brian; loving great granddaughters, Gabbrielle, Madisen and Cloe; a dear sister, Dolores and her husband, Bob Lickar and sister in law, Dolores and her husband Charles Applegate. Visitation on Saturday, 9:30?11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
