Righter, Harry W. of Gloucester Twp., formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, suddenly on January 29, 2007. Aged 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen. Devoted father of Michele O?Hara and her husband Patrick. Dear brother of Mary Brown and the late Helen White & Samuel Righter. Loving grandfather of Patrick & Marissa. Cherished brother in law of Margaret Bliss. Harry was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. He lived there for most of his life until relocating to South Jersey in 1965. Harry served in the Navy during World War II where he received the Pacific Theatre Medal, American Theatre Medal and the Victory Medal. He than worked for Jacob Reid & Sons Clothier for many years until his retirement. Harry will be remembered for his ?Thrill Seeking? side which included riding roller coasters and many water slides at the Jersey Shore and Amusement Parks. Harry also had an undying love for baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies, who he would never give up on whether it was a good or bad year, he remained loyal. He enjoyed playing darts and spending time at the American Legion Post 281 Hall with his friends. Harry will be remembered as a loving, devoted and quiet yet devilishly humorous husband, father and grandfather. Viewing Saturday morning 9:30 to 11: 00 AM in the McGUINNESS-WASHINGTON TWP.
