Obituary of Mary G. Krieg

KRIEG?Mary G. nee Volk of Woodbury Hgts. passed away on Sat. Jan. 27, 2007 at Underwood-Memorial Hospital. Aged 83 years. Mary graduated Woodbury High class of ?41. She was employed for a short time for Bell Telephone before serving in the US Navy during WWII in the Medical Corps?during which she met Elmer, who was to become her husband. They were married in St. Patrick?s Church, Woodbury in 1946. She spent the next 10 years as a busy homemaker to a US Marine, moving often; Oak Grove, NC, Washington, DC, Camp Lejeune, NC, Norfolk, VA, Woodbury, SanDiego, CA, Quantico, VA, Panama Canal Zone and then settling into the town of Woodbury Heights where they lived for the last 50 years. Mary was a member of St. Margaret?s Church. Beloved wife of Elmer A., daughter of the late Adolph & Mae Volk, devoted mother of Gary M. Janice, loving grandmother of Jodi Scott Ondrina, Erin Brian Houg and Brandon Krug, dear sister of John F. Mary Wayne Volk, loving aunt to John C. Cynthia Volk and Susan Charles Vete. Viewing Wed. 6:30-9 PM and Thurs. 9:30-10:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Mass of Resurrection Thurs. 11 AM in St. Margaret RC Church, Woodbury Hgts.
