Obituary of Frank J. Blomer

Blomer, Frank J., 89, of Deptford on March 24, 2007. Beloved husband of 59 years of Ruth nee McNab and father of Linda Blomer and G. Richard Blomer. Grandfather of Jessica, Jennifer and Julianne Blomer. Father-in-law of Stephen Schweim Brother of Susan Graham. Uncle of Joan Hallahan and Jay Wersits. Frank Blomer was a man devoted to family and service. He loved his family and enjoyed volunteering. If someone needed a ride to a doctor?s appointment, Frank was the man to call. He volunteered at the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was an active participant in the Civil War roundtable in Wilmington. Traveling was a hobby ? particularly to Florida and throughout the world. He enjoyed Ocean City, a good bridge game and was very proud of his hole in one at the 5th hole of Westwood Golf Club. During World War II, Frank served the US Navy at the Panama Canal. Frank worked as a Laboratory Technician at Mobil Oil Refinery for 34 years before retiring in 1989. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday in St. Patrick?s RC Church where relatives and friends will gather at 10:45 AM. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
