Obituary of Geraldine L. Vail

VAIL?Geraldine L. nee Meritt of Bradenton, FL formerly of Deptford on March 31, 2007. Aged 79 years. Jerry was born in Philadelphia and lived in Deptford for many years until moving to Florida in 1998. Prior to retirement, she was co-owner, with her husband, of Seaboard Industrial Supply Corp. in Philadelphia. Jerry?s family could always be found at the center of her life. Holidays were very special to her; ?everyday should be Christmas? as far as she was concerned. Jerry?s early morning singing of ?Happy Birthday? over the phone will be missed by her family She was a member of the Westville Grove VFW Post #2174 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #24, Bradenton, FL as well as Christ Community Church in Bradenton. Jerry also served as a past committee person for Gloucester County; as well as leader for both the Brownies and Boy Scouts. Even though her health was poor, it didn?t stop Jerry and her husband from traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad. She is the beloved wife of Anthony E., Jr.; devoted mother of Gail Martin Joseph of Pitman, Denise Middleton Robert of Vineland, Cheryl Chestnut Michael of Mantua and Anthony, III Michelle of Montclair, VA; dear sister of Beatrice Schrader of Sayre, PA; loving grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 6; dear aunt to 5 nieces and 2 nephews. Viewing 9 AM and Funeral Services 11 AM Wednesday in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
