Obituary of Elizabeth M. Gavin

GAVIN?Elizabeth M. of West Deptford nee McBride suddenly on May 7, 2007. Aged 75 years. Betty was born in Philadelphia, lived and raised her children in Woodbury Heights before moving to West Deptford in 1983. Beyond being a devoted homemaker, she worked first with WT Grants and then as a bookkeeper for the former Lenape/United Jersey Bank before retiring in 1992. Betty will be remembered as a headstrong and determined woman, who conquered 3 battles with cancer. Her love of holidays, cooking and get-togethers; coupled with her quick wit and terrific sense of humor will be sadly missed by her family as well as by all who knew her. She is the beloved wife of 53 years to Francis V., Sr, for whom she lovingly cared for; devoted mother of Ann Lou Manfre, Fran Beth Gavin, Theresa Randy Overbey, Mary Jo Mark Schwartz and Betsy Richard Gershman; dear sister of Josephine Jerry Hennigan; loving grandmother of Matt, Mark, Paul, Lisa, Brian, Sean, Ryan, Daniel, Riley, Michael & Renee. Visitation Sat. 8:30-10:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Mass of Resurrection Sat. 11 AM in St. Margaret RC Church, Woodbury Heights. Interment New St. Mary?s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
