Obituary of Daniel F. Magee

MAGEE, Daniel F., Jr. Aged 71 of Deptford died on May 14, 2007 in the Voorhees Center. Dan Magee was always the gentleman and definitely a ?hands on Dad?. Family was very important to Dan and the entire family was always gathered for dinner. He loved to jitterbug with his wife and enjoyed the Phillies, Eagles and Gloucester Catholic sports. Dan was born in Bryn Mawr, PA and graduated from Lower Merion High School. He joined the Navy and proudly served on the USS Mount Baker from 1954-1957. He then graduated from Peirce College. Dan worked as a freight salesman for many years?first with UPS and most recently with De-Pen Line, Inc. of Phoenixville, PA. He is the beloved husband of 39 years to Joan Magee nee Lakatosh, devoted father of Daniel, III Kirsten of Atlanta, GA; Thomas Mary Ellen of Marlton; Kelly Sheppard Robertof Basking Ridge, NJ; Susan Magee of Bordentown, Ellen Bruccoliere Charles of Marlton and Joanne Desiere Michaelof Avenel, NJ. Loving brother to Jean Miller of King of Prussia, PA, Ellen Cashman of West Chester, PA . Brother-in-law of Richard Valentine of Bryn Mawr, PA. Grandfather of Bobby, Patrick, Andrew, Daniel IV, Aidan, Brian and Ryan. Also survived by 12 nephews and five nieces. Pre-deceased by mother Isabel and father Daniel F. Magee, Sr. of Ardmore, PA and sister, Patricia Valentine of Bryn Mawr, PA Viewing Thursday evening after 6:30 PM and Friday from 8:30-9:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday in St. Patrick?s RC Church, Woodbury. Interment Gloucester County Veteran?s Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
