GREENAN?Maurice P. ?Scotty? Of Woodbury on May 25, 2007. Aged 76 years. Scotty will be remembered as a good man with a remarkable sense of humor; he was a guy with one thousand jokes, yet never told the same one twice. His family knew him as the ?glue? that held his family close to one another. Scotty was a passionate football soccer fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite team; Celtics Football Club, based in Glasgow, Scotland. Scotty was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to the U.S. in 1962. He was a British Army Veteran of the Suez Canal Crisis, serving in the Scottish Regiment HLI. While working as a bus driver in Scotland, Scotty met the love of his life, Jessie who worked with him as an attendant. Prior to retirement in 1991, Scotty worked as a customer service agent for U.S. Airways for 28 years. Scotty and Jessie traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S.; traveling close to all 50 states and making countless fond memories. Upon retirement, Scotty worked as driver of the Woodbury Shuttle Bus for over 10 years. He is the beloved husband of 51 years to Jessie nee Savage; loving brother of Mae McFadden and the late Owen, Charles, John, Bernard and Helen; dear uncle to Callum Mearns, Frank, Carlo, Ronnie, Gary, Gary and Brian Greenan. Viewing Tues. 6:30-9 PM and Wed. 9-9:45 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Funeral Service Wed. 10 AM in the funeral home.
