Obituary of Michael B. Silver

Silver, Michael B., Jr., of Hoboken, NJ passed away suddenly on July 9, 2007; aged 37 years. Michael was a charming and handsome guy who enjoyed many outdoor activities such as, white water rafting, kayaking, sky diving and mountain biking. He loved to travel, read, attend music concerts and had a wonderful appreciation of art. Michael was an advanced SCUBA diver and enjoyed deep sea fishing. Although he currently lived in the northern part of the state for many years, he remained a die hard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan. Michael had a way of making people feel at ease and always looked out for those who were less fortunate. He was a philanthropist and donated to many causes including Deborah Heart and Lung Center, the ARC and NJ Special Olympics. He also took care of his best buddy, brother, Sean He also loved his friends and companions, Abigail, a black lab and Mary Jane, a Russian Blue cat. Michael will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his generous ways. Born in Elmer, Michael grew up in Woodbury Heights and was a graduate of Gateway High School, where he excelled in wrestling and cross country. He was an honors graduate of West Virginia University and inducted in the Golden Key National Honor Society. He was a highly respected trader on the NASDAQ and a successful entrepreneur. Beloved Son of Cynthia A. nee Coblentz and her husband, Robert W. Kern and Michael B., Silver, Sr. and his wife, Nancy L. nee Allen; Loving Grandson of George and Dorothy Kern, William and Margaret Coblentz and Elaine Allen; Devoted Brother of Renee Listman, Sean Silver and Allyson, Donovan and Sawyer Kern; Loving Uncle of Reana and Rylan Listman, Nicholas and Vincent Candaffio. Michael is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
