Obituary of Elsa B. Connery

Connery, Elsa Nee Benestad, age 88 years, ?The force who energized her family? died on July 23, 2007 at her home in Woodbury. Mrs. Connery was the wife of the late Thomas F. Connery, a former NJ State Senator and she raised six children. She was an enthusiastic golfer. She loved competing and rarely missed an opportunity to play. At the age of 83 she had her first hole in one. Although golf was her passion her family was her love. Mrs. Connery also enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking and the company of her many dogs. She is survived by her children; Nancy Connery, Thomas Connery, Anthony Connery, Lynn Connery-Orcutt, Clare Connery Ramsay and Charles Connery. Grandmother of Lauren, Sandra, Christopher, Fiona and Kyle; Sister of Lillian Barron and Hellen King. A viewing will be held on Thursday 4 to 7 PM and Friday 8:15 to 9:15 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial 10 Am St. Patrick R.C. Church.
