Obituary of William Henry Robinson

William ?Bill? H. Robinson, Jr. a 35 year resident of Washington Township, NJ, died suddenly on Sunday, July 29th in Las Vegas, NV. He was 64 years of age. Bill was a man deeply devoted to his family and faith. He successfully wove these traits into his professional life as an accomplished baseball player, father, mentor and friend. Bill was born in McKeesport, PA. For 16 years he played as an outfielder in the Major Leagues; including the Braves, Yankees, Phillies and Pirates. He served as hitting coach for the New York Mets, Florida Marlins and currently for the Dodgers. His love and support for the area children will be remembered by many, especially for his popular hitting clinic which he ran with passion for over 25 years. He is the beloved husband of Mary A. nee Moore; devoted father of William H. Robinson, III and his wife Maribeth and Kelley Ann Robinson; loving grandfather of Will, Ty and Bret; beloved son of Nellienee Davisonand the late William H. Robinson, Sr., dear brother of Walter Robinson, Jacqueline Johnson and Avais Felder. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, 4-8 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Township, Sewell NJ. Visitation 9-10:30 AM and Funeral Service 11 AM on Saturday in the Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Road, Washington Twp.Sewell, NJ.
