Cerkez, Steven E. ?Steve? of West Deptford , peacefully passed away on August 9, 2007 . He was 67 years of age. Steve was a man who was deeply devoted to his family, country and faith. He successfully wove these traits into his professional and private life. His devotion to his family is unparalleled. Holiday gatherings, family reunions and any opportunity for his family to be together was what gave Steve the most enjoyment throughout his life. Steve also was deeply devoted to his church. He faithfully attended Mass regularly at St. Anne?s Roman Catholic Church, Westville; where he also volunteered as a CCD teacher for more than 40 years, worked with the Bingo Committee as well as assisted with grounds and maintenance of the parish and the Pro Life group. Born in Camden, NJ, Steve and his family have lived in the Colonial Manor section of West Deptford for the past 43 years. He served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After being discharged he worked for General Electric and Boeing Helicopter where he worked on quality control for the Osprey Helicopter program. Away from work, Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycle and restoring his 1980 Chevy Camaro. Steve will be remembered by all who loved him as being ?the life of the party? Beloved husband of Nancy E. nee Bauer. Loving ?son? of Mae Nabreski Loving father of Pamela George Biedenbender, Karen Dan Lester, Janice John Shields, Craig Carla Cerkez and Stefani Cerkez.
