MOWER - Elizabeth nee Sholders, a life-long resident of National Park on Aug. 12, 2007. Aged 76 years. A strong and courageous woman, Bette remained active and dedicated to her beloved family, regardless of the hurdles her health put before her. Bette was born in National Park to the late Marie and Charles Sholders. Bell Telephone employed her for many years as a telephone operator in Gloucester City; but most will remember her as the long-time driver of Bus #13 for Gateway High School. A devoted member of the VFW Post #6884 Ladies Auxiliary, National Park, Bette served as past president and good friend to fellow members. Bette?s outgoing personality, smile and active presence in our community, will be sadly missed by many. She is the beloved wife of 56 years to Billy; devoted mother to Steve Marcy, Billy, Jr. Cindy and Jan Lynn; dear sister of Helen Inverso the late, Joseph; loving grandmother of Billy, III, Jacqueline, Stephen, Jr. and Abby; great grandmother of Kayla and Camille. Viewing Wed 6-8 PM and Thurs. 9:30-10:15 AM in McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Funeral services Thurs. 10 AM in the First United Methodist Church of National Park. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
