Obituary of Edith H. Garramone

Garramone, Edith nee DiTullio, 98, of Washington Twp. , peacefully passed away on August 24, 2007. Edith will be remembered as a feisty, vivacious woman who thoroughly enjoyed watching and rooting on her beloved Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Edith later moved to Havertown and for a short time lived in Florida before returning to the Delaware Valley. For the past 19 years she resided in Cardinal Village Retirement Community in Washington Twp., NJ where she was Sunshine Chairman and played the piano on many occasions. Edith was Past Matron and long time organist for St. Alban Chapter #307, O.E.S. in Drexel Hill, PA., and a member of Pitman Chapter #57, Pitman, NJ Edith worked for Curtis Publishing and Cuneo Press in Philadelphia as a binder until her retirement in 1965. Away from work, Edith enjoyed playing the piano, pinochle, bingo and in her later years developed an insatiable love of baseball. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Devoted mother of Carole Edward Petro. Loving grandmother of Robert Amy Petro and Debra the late Dino Camporeale. Great grandmother of Spencer, Carli, Alyson, Christopher and Keira. Loving aunt to four generations of nieces and nephews. Viewing Wednesday evening 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 9 to 9:30 AM in the McGUINNESS? WASHINGTON TWP.
