DeVecchis?Lydia I. nee Montilla of Woodbury suddenly on Sept. 11, 2007. Lydia will be remembered as a sweet woman who was devoted to her faith in God and to her family. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Lydia was raised by nuns in a convent there. She moved to the mainland at the age of fifteen. For over forty years she has called Gloucester County home. Lydia was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting; and made many treasured gifts for friends and family. Cooking a great meal and spending time with her beloved family brought great joy to Lydia. She is the devoted mother of Linda Massa Garret, Joyce Vallone the late Frank, Glenn DeVecchis Robyn and the late Gene DeVecchis; dear sister of Aida Praino, Frank Nieves, Nancy Morgan and the late Mary Morrissey and Alice Baber; loving grandmother of Dawn, Yvonne, Toni, Glenn Jr., Garret Jr., Angela, Joel, Thomas, John, Dennis and Victoria; great grandmother of 9 and great great grandmother of 1. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Fri. 6:30-9 PM and Sat. 8:30-9:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Mass of Resurrection Sat. 10 AM in St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Woodbury Hgts. Interment New St. Mary?s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
