Obituary of Dorothy Bender

Bender, Dorothy nee Crawford, 87, of Woodbury, formerly of Swedesboro, peacefully passed away on December 1, 2007. Dorothy will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family and her faith. Born and raised in Swedesboro, Dorothy along with her husband, son and sister Mary moved to Woodbury after he returned home from World War II and has remained there for the past 60 years. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Patrick?s Church and would recite the rosary faithfully every day. Dorothy is the beloved wife of the late Peter A. Bender. Loving mother of Robert Judy Bender. Dear sister of John Crawford, Eileen Higgins, Mary Crawford, James Crawford and Geraldine Woolley. Devoted grandmother of Amy Jamie McGroarty and Brian Susan Bender. Great Grandmother of Kelli & Keegan McGroarty. There will be a viewing Wednesday morning after 9:30 AM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in St. Patrick?s R. C. Church, Woodbury. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Memorial contributions in Dorothy?s memory may be made to St. Patrick?s R. C.
