Obituary of Livia Mary Slavek

Slavek, Livia M. of Santa Monica, CA; formerly of Oak Valley, NJ on Jan 11, 2008. On that date, Jesus took her by the hand and raised her up to her new home in heaven. She was 45 years of age. A true heroine in the fight for life. For the past 15 years, Livia fought against the disease, Lupus, but she never let it take her from her joys in life and her devotion to her family. She enjoyed every minute of her time with her girls. Livia worked from home as a property manager. She loved to travel and shop, and was the best bargain hunter. She will always be remembered for her greatest accomplishment, that of being a fantastic mother. Livia is survived by her two loving daughters; Livia Arianna and Devon Montgomery Slavek; her devoted fiance, Michael Koenig; dearest parents, Livia Raitter and the late John P. Slavek and her beloved step father, Walter Raitter; caring siblings; John and Lawrence Larry Slavek, Dennis and Donna Raitter and Tom and Julie Sandberg. Livia will be greatly missed by her aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Viewing Friday Eve 6 to 9 PM and Saturday 9 to 10:15 AM in St. Margaret R. C. Church Third and Beech Avenues, Woodbury Heights, NJ . Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 AM. Interment New St. Mary Cemetery.
