Obituary of John Joseph Free

John J. Free, 77, of National Park on January 12, 2008. John was born in Jersey City, lived for many years in Toms River and settled in National Park about five years ago. He was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement in 1987, John was employed by Verizon in New York City for over 35 years. Many will remember John as being a long-time member of the Holiday City at Berkley First Aid Squad. He is the beloved husband of Deborah Duke; devoted father of Kathleen Crane, Maryjane Lemonde, Jonathan and Kathleen Duke, Kori and Cady Wilson; loving grandfather of eight. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service with military honors 1 p.m. Tuesday promptly at the Gloucester County Veteran¹s Memorial Cemetery, 240 S. Tuckahoe Rd., Williamstown.
