Obituary of Peter A. Senek

Senek, Peter A., 91, of the Oak Valley section of Deptford, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2008. Peter will fondly be remembered as a "gentleman's gentleman" who throughout his life strived to project a sense of happiness from doing something good for others. Born in Bayonne, NJ, Peter has lived in the South Jersey area for 65 years. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. After his service time, Peter went to work for NJ Zinc, as a Stationary Fireman for Boiler Operations until his retirement in 1988. Peter then took a job with Deptford Mall where he worked with the Maintenance Department for 25 years and fostered friendships and acquaintances with many shoppers and early morning mall walkers. Away from his work, Peter thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his daughter, fishing, trying his luck at the casinos and socializing with friends at the Mall. For the past two years, Peter resided at the Pitman Manor where he continued to meet new people and make friends as he did throughout his life. Peter is the beloved husband of the late Hedwig "Hattie" Senek. Loving father of Mary Kayser and her husband Ken. Dear brother of Esther Blinsinger, John Senek and the late Mary Fligier. Peter is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews especially is special niece Susan Thomason and her husband James.
