Obituary of John F. Spencer

Spencer, John F. of Woodbury Heights, NJ, formerly of Deptford, died on January 12, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Aged 83 years. John was a strong willed, loving and honorable man. He was devoted to his family and loved to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his spare time he loved to spend time fishing with his buddies in the "Over the Hill Gang" at Gloucester City Park. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Born at home in Gloucester City, John was a resident of Deptford for over 50 years. John was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and also served in the Navy Reserves. Prior to retirement, John was a first class sheet metal mechanic at NJ Gasket Company in Deptford New Jersey for over 20 years. Beloved Husband of the late Mary R. nee Cerulli; Devoted Father of Billy Dot Spencer, Joe Trish Spencer, Cathy Bob Vahey; Loving grandfather of Tara, Maria, Tom Michelle, Jill, Lori, Nikki, Bryan, Joe, Lizzy and great grandfather of Selena, Jimmy, Marissa and Shane; Dear Brother of Joe Ann Spencer, James Jane Spencer, Matt Jackie Spencer and the late Bill and Dan; Dear brother in law of Fran Spencer, Fran Cleaver, Donata Britton and Emma Cerulli; Predeceased by many other brother and sister in laws and survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing on Tuesday evening, 6:30—9:00 PM and Wednesday, 9:00—10:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. Mass on Wednesday, 11 AM at St. Margaret RC Church, Third and Beech St, Woodbury Heights, NJ. Entombment New St. Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr, NJ.
