Obituary of Joseph Colanero

Joseph Colanero of West Deptford, NJ on February 28, 2008, died of multiple myeloma cancer. Aged 69 years. Joe worked for the Camden County Board of Social Services in Camden as a Social Worker. After retiring in 1995, he spent much of his time writing articles on organic gardening, cooking & restaurant profiles for the local newspapers, gardening and cooking magazines. Joe was the author of "Down Jersey Cooking, Celebrating our Heritage from Past to Present." Joe was a member of the Pen in Hand Writer's Group & the Organic Gardening Club. Joe loved traveling around the world, but his family gave him much joy in life. He enjoyed biking, photography, running, reading and of course, cooking. His outgoing personality and good sense of humor will be sadly missed. Beloved husband of Loretta nee Kolasa Devoted father of Jim Colanero, Ann Colanero, and Catherine Gabriel and father in law of Neil Gabriel. Dear brother of Ann Verdi, Edith Cheli, Evelyn Clifford and Domenic Colanero and the late Anoinette Battaglia. Loving grandfather of Justin and Tyler.
