Obituary of Philomena Evangelista

Evangelista, Philomena "Minnie" nee Cornocchia, of Woodbury Heights, NJ, passed away on March 2, 2008; aged 88 years. Minnie was a strong willed, thoughtful woman who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and was famous for her homemade birthday cakes. Minnie will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Born in Wimber, PA, Minnie was a resident of Woodbury Heights for 35 years and a longtime active parishioner of St. Margaret's RC Church. Minnie was a woman of great faith. As a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Minnie volunteered her time assisting with the collections at Mass, Ministry of the Sick and the Christmas Bazaar. Beloved Wife of the late, Pasquale; Devoted mother of the late, Robert; Loving mother in law of Francine M.; Devoted grandmother of Jennifer Bromwell, Alexis and Eric Evangelista and great grandmother of Megan, Colin and Rheanna Bromwell and Ashlyn Soltysiak. Viewing on Wednesday, 9:15 -10:15 AM at St. Margaret's RC Church, 3rd & Beech Streets, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097 where the Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret's RC Church, 334 Beech Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097 or a charity of the donor's choice.
