Obituary of Margaret M. Hobbins

Margaret M. Hobbins, of Washington Twp., aged 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on March 8, 2008. Margaret was an outgoing and loveable woman who was always there for others. She will be remembered for her wit and her brutal honesty. There was no beating around the bush when she told you what she thought. Margaret loved and missed her family and she will be sadly missed by those who loved her including the WUAH family. Margaret was the first woman welder in the NY Shipyard and later became a volunteer for the American Red Cross and taught ceramics to injured soldiers at Ft. Dix. Prior to retiring in March of 1981, Margaret was an LPN for Ancora for 26 1/2 years and early in her career was recognized as an aid of the year. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, John and Caroline nee Reiss Hobbins. She is survived by her loving family, Patricia Smith, Jen Barger, Tina Feeney, the adorable neighbor hood kids, Ronnie, Tyler, Sam, Allie, Mike, Emily, Hannah and Joy and her beloved dog, "Luke". Margaret is also survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister and many nieces an nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Margaret's home on Thursday from 2:30PM where they will have a Celebration of Margaret's life at 3:00 PM. Interment private.
