Bella's life was a symbol of quiet and easy grace. She treasured her and her husband Ossie's extended family - Ruth, Michael, Tyler Anne, Ethan, Lea and Trooper. The times she spent with them were always joyful moments.
I remember most how we enjoyed together the food (usually crabs) she prepared with Lea and Ruth whenever we visited my son Michael's family. We ate, talked, joked and watched TV through the night. Those were great family sleepovers.
Bella was a good wife, loving wife and sister-in-law and a gentle friend. She fought a good fight and towards the end, clung to God's love and mercy.
Now, as I remember her, lines from "High Flight" came to my mind:
"Up, up the long, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God."
Rest in peace, our dear Bella. Our deep sympathy to Ossie and family.
