Mrs. Parker (and all of the Parkers) helped our family too many times to list them all. I would need to write pages. But what comes to mind, top of head, is she gave my mom a job, saved our house many times when we were behind on our mortgage, always had the door open and was a place of refuge during hard times. She was always there to advise or help whenever you needed her. I remember her watching Wheel of Fortune, cheering for the Phillies, eating her Frosties and being in the pool. If I said I was at their house a thousand times, that would be on the low side. For a few years I was there every day, sometimes a few times a day and I honestly can’t think of one time Mrs. Parker ever reprimanded me or said a negative thing towards me. There were countless laughs, pool volleyball, and great times. But to me her greatest achievement is her kids. Every one of them has a heart as big as forever, but are the strongest people you will ever meet. They all have their mom in them. I now tell Parker bedtime stories to my kids on a regular basis.
