Obituary of Huguette Berthe Corker

Huguette Berthe Corker (nee Richard) formerly of Montreal, Canada, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024 at the age of 92.

 

Family

Born to the late Olivier and Alexandra (nee Fontaine) Richard on July 24, 1931, Huguette was one of twelve children. While growing up, Huguette met her loving husband the late Neil Corker (2023) at the age of five. The two went through their individual lives until they reunited and spent a treasured 69 years together. Neil and Huguette brought two loving girls into this world, Carole (James) Gwathney, and Johanne Corker. Huguette was dedicated to raising her children to be smart and educated, her and Neil provided a safe, beautiful home that was to Huguette's nearly perfect standards. While growing up, Carole and Johanne remember fondly of Huguette's baking. She made creampuffs, eclairs, and her legendary fudge. During the holidays Huguette made the house a holiday spectacular. The Christmas ornaments were hung with care, the presents were by the dozen for her two daughters, she loved to make the holidays special for them.

 

Legacy

Huguette trained as a Ballerina for many years prior to being pregnant with her daughters, as well as professionally trained by Parisians in sewing and needle crafts. She was known for her fashion sense as she always dressed to the nine's. Prior to being a stay-at-home mom, Huguette worked as a secretary. She will be remembered fondly by her loving family, her siblings, and her many nieces and nephews.
