Our dear mother Jacqueline Mary (nee Beckett) Scanlon of Mullica Hill, peacefully passed away on January 25th, 2024 at the age of 86. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her and was so proud of her family. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Deptford where she spent most of her life.

Born to the late John and Irene (nee Smith) Beckett on May 10th, 1937 in Gloucester City, New Jersey. Beloved sister of John (Linda) Beckett and Irene (Paul) Kelly. Loving mother to Michelle (Mike) Bongiovanni, James (Lisa) Scanlon III, Constance (Dennis) Riggs, Joseph Scanlon, and Patrick (Mandy) Scanlon. Cherished grandmother to Morgan, Nick, Dennis, Steven, Kim, Jake, Jenna, Brad, Kelsey, Dalton, Kenzie, Lila, and Finn. Devoted great-grandmother to numerous great-grandchildren (20). Lovingly remembered by many family and friends.

Jaqueline graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School where she met the love of her life the late James Scanlon Jr. The pair were high school sweethearts and had a long, loving, marriage until James passed in 2002. Jacqueline worked for Deptford Township as their Deputy Clerk for 25 years until retirement. She will be dearly remembered for her fierce love and devotion to her family, her generous her soul, her love of Christmas and buying presents for all, and her own special words and names that she used. No one loved her sweets like mom did!
