Obituary of George C. Hendrix

Hendrix, George C., of Wenonah, NJ, passed away on September 30, 2007; Aged 88 years. George was a kind hearted and humble man who always had a kind word for everybody. He was extremely friendly and never saw a stranger. George loved to fish and dance, especially the jitterbug and joining his friends each morning for coffee at McDonalds. He will be remembered as a dapper gentleman who loved to spend time with his family. Born in Harriman, Tennessee, George was a resident of Oak Valley for 50 years. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II where he served with the 9th Division and received two Purple Hearts. Prior to retiring in 1982, George was a professional truck driver for Pennsylvania Truck Lines for over 35 years. Beloved Husband 61 years to Marie A. nee Baranowski; Devoted Father of Marie A. Hendrix and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Viewing on Saturday, 9-10 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ, where the service will follow at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any military organization of the donor?s choice.
