Obituary of Paul L. Dailey

Paul. L. Dailey, 82, of Deptford NJ, died early Tuesday morning, October 16, 2007, after a short illness at Underwood Memorial Hospital. Paul was born and raised in Scranton, PA with eight siblings. After leaving Scranton as a teenager, Paul enlisted in the Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon returning from the war he married his Navy sweetheart, Rosemary Curtorillo, whom he referred to as his ?souvenir from the war.? They had been married for 61 years raising three children together, Carol, Paul and Mary. Paul was a life insurance salesman and a part time bartender at Seder?s Tavern for many years. After retiring, he worked at Lawn Mower Parts in Bellmawr, NJ. Paul was an active volunteer in the early days of Most Holy Redeemer parish and school. Among many fond memories with the founding parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer he recently recalled calling the first BINGO game. Paul enjoyed the simple pleasures in life with his family and many friends in the community. He remained active and enjoyed life until the few weeks before his death. Paul will be remembered as a loving and kind man who put his family and friends before himself. Paul is survived by his wife Rosemary of Deptford, son Paul Mimi, of Berwyn, PA; daughter Mary Burleson Al, of Morgantown WV and the late Carol Conaty; four grandchildren Christina, Michelle, Brian and Joshua; his sister Peggy of Exton, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Viewing Friday 6:30 ? 9PM & Saturday 10:00 AM in Most Holy Redeemer RC Church, 1219 Delsea Dr, Westville Grove, NJ 08093 where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment Gloucester County Veteran?s Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
