Obituary of Charles J. Greene

GREENE?Charles J. of Williamstown, formerly of Turnersville, suddenly on Dec. 18, 2007. Aged 82 years. Born and raised in Mystic, CT, Charlie was a soft-spoken patriot; who was devoted to his family, friends, faith and country. Charlie was a graduate of Stonington High School. He proudly served our country during WWII in the US Army Air-Corps in the CBI Theater. Upon returning from the war, Charlie earned his B.S. in Education from Boston University. Prior to retirement in 1985, he was employed as a systems analyst for RCA in Moorestown for over 25 years. Charlie was a devoted member and former head usher at St. John?s United Methodist Church, Turnersville. An avid sports fan, Charlie was a devoted WTAA Little League coach for many years. Collecting model cars and coins was a passion of Charlie?s; as was being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He is the beloved husband of 52 years to L. Roberta ?Bobbie? nee Ford; devoted father of Charles A. Rita, Todd Linda, and Diane; dear brother of the late Marjorie Swizdun, loving grandfather of Dennis, John, Kevin, Sean, Tim, Melissa and Emily; dear uncle to Brent and Ross. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 10-11:45 AM and funeral services 12 noon Friday in St. John?s United Methodist Church, 149 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ 08012. Military honors and interment Gloucester County Veteran?s Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the church at the above address.
