Obituary of Velia A. DeMarchi

DeMARCHI, VELIA A. nee Pietrantozzi of Washington Township on December 21, 2007. Aged 92 years. Velia was an outgoing, friendly woman who will be missed by many dear friends and family. She was one of nine siblings born in Ashland, WV, lived in Chicago, IL and Sarasota, FL and Beckley, WV before moving to Washington Township in 1991 to be close to her daughter and family. An avid cook, Velia was known for her many great meals and also enjoyed dining out with her family. She loved country music and listening to her all time favorite Elvis Presley; as well as Perry Como. In the past year, Velia was introduced to the Guardian Adult Day Care Center, which she thoroughly enjoyed, sharing her caring personality with all she met. After a serious illness, she then entered the Kennedy Health Care Center in Washington Twp., where she was lovingly cared for by their wonderful staff. Velia is the beloved wife of the late Addone A. DeMarchi, devoted mother of Elaine C. Lanzilotta Robert, loving and proud grandmother of Cristina Lanzilotta and dear sister of Lena Massaroni Armand, the late Mary DeMarchi Pietro, the late Aldo, Carl, Dido, Dandelo, Louis and Nello Pietrantozzi Viewing 9 ?9:45 AM and Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday in the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Assoc., 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231-4596.
