Obituary of Silas E. Tyson

Tyson, Silas "Erv" E., of Woodbury Heights, NJ, passed away on January 6, 2008, surrounded by his loving family; aged 64 years. Erv was a devoted family man who enjoyed gardening, fishing and especially enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the Westwood Golf Club in West Deptford and enjoyed spending more of his spare time on the golf course now that he was retired. Erv was also the life of the party with his wonderful dance moves and he will be sadly missed. Born in Edenton, NC, Erv was a longtime resident of Woodbury Heights. Prior to retiring in August of 2007, he worked for the grounds and maintenance department of the Gloucester County Community College in Sewell, NJ for 7 years. Beloved Husband of the late Geraldine D. nee Forte; Devoted Father of Denise Romano Marc Sullivan, Michelle Romano Jim McCall, Deborah Carmen Rabottino, and Sandra Tyson; Loving Grandfather of Shannon, Ryan, Katie, Patrick, Nelson, Nicky, Kelly, Ashley, Brittany, Carmen, Christian and 3 great grandchildren; Dear Brother Barry Tyson and Barbara Brabble. . Visitation on Thursday, 6:30 9:00 PM and Friday, 8:30 9:15 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass on Friday, 10 AM at St. Margaret s RC Church, Third and Beech St. Woodbury Heights, NJ. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
