Obituary of Mia L. Whitehead

Whitehead, Mia L., 29, of West Deptford, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2008. Mia will be forever remembered for her pleasant, full of life personality that will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved her. Born in Washington Twp. And raised in Woodbury, Mia graduated from Woodbury High School with the Class of 1996. She then went on to graduate from Michigan State and Univ. of Penn, School of Pathology. Mia worked as a Chemist for Baxter Pharmaceutical Co. of Cherry Hill for the past 5 years. Away from her career, Mia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jericho. She often found peace in reading a good book or singing and performing with her group, Highest Praise. Mia is the beloved daughter of Patricia Whitehead and Robert Bartley, Jr. Loving sister of Tasha Bartley and Robert Bartley, III. Devoted granddaughter of Bea Whitehead, Dorothy and Robert Parrish. Great granddaughter of Katherine Owens. Cherished niece of George L. Whitehead. Godchild of Josephine Gilliam. Also survived by her favorite niece, Karin; Poppie, Ted Martin; best friend, Mia Jones and many other family members and friends. Viewing Wednesday morning 9 to 11 AM in the First Baptist Church of Jericho, 981 Mail Avenue, Deptford. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday in the Church. Interment Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Mt. Royal.
